Mentor Me - North Georgia, Inc. was established as a nonprofit organization by the Leadership Forsyth class of 2002.
Originally a branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Georgia Mountains, the Forsyth County organization grew and gained experience as an extension of the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency until 2008.
In 2008 our founders decided to become an independent agency to better serve the diverse needs of youth in the community, particularly children ages 13-17 which we were unable to do as a BBBS affiliate. The new organization incorporated as a 501(c)3 called Mentor Me – North Georgia, Inc.
Part of the National Mentoring Partnership, Mentor Me serves youth, ages 6 to 17, in with One-on-One mentoring, after school enrichment programs, and group mentoring programs.
2017 marked our 15th year serving Forsyth County.
Since our inception, we have served over 2,900 children and youth.
Mentor Me is a partner of the National Mentoring Alliance.
We are a 501(c) organization focused on youth development.
Forsyth County has been twice selected as one of America's 100 Best Communities for Young People, due in part to our mentoring programs.
Services are free of charge, thanks to the support of our donors, business partners and grant funders.
We are proud to be a United Way of Forsyth County Partner agency.
