About Us

  • Mentor Me - North Georgia, Inc. was established as a nonprofit organization by the Leadership Forsyth class of 2002.

  • Originally a branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Georgia Mountains, the Forsyth County organization grew and gained experience as an extension of the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency until 2008.

  • In 2008 our founders decided to become an independent agency to better serve the diverse needs of youth in the community, particularly children ages 13-17 which we were unable to do as a BBBS affiliate. The new organization incorporated as a 501(c)3 called Mentor Me – North Georgia, Inc.

  • Part of the National Mentoring Partnership, Mentor Me serves youth, ages 6 to 17, in with One-on-One mentoring, after school enrichment programs, and group mentoring programs.

  • 2017 marked our 15th year serving Forsyth County.

  • Since our inception, we have served over 2,900 children and youth.

  • Mentor Me is a partner of the National Mentoring Alliance.

  • We are a 501(c) organization focused on youth development.

  • Forsyth County has been twice selected as one of America's 100 Best Communities for Young People, due in part to our mentoring programs.

  • Services are free of charge, thanks to the support of our donors, business partners and grant funders.

  • We are proud to be a United Way of Forsyth County Partner agency.
